Those that are big fans of Kati Peri Pizza.... Read this!
The new restaurant that has opened up evidently doesn't have anything to do with the original Kati Peri Pizza off of street 51 near Sorya. Some businessman evidently saw an opportunity to jack the name, branding, and take one of the original staff to copy all the recipes.
Sorry, but I don't support this kind of BS, especially for something that is somewhat of an "iconic" item to the PP nightlife.
I went and found the new page on Facebook, with hardly any reviews. But they have recently updated the page as of two weeks ago with pictures and information.
Just thought you should all be aware of the situation and understand what these guys are attempting to do behind the original brand we all know and appreciate... Quite shameful honestly, and we know how hard these guys work at night to keep all us drunkards and late-night snackers happy.

Katy Peri Pizza knock-off
From the expat FB group:
I went to a new KP pizza place off the riverside a few weeks ago. It was pretty shit. Don't know whether it was a fake KP pizza or not though. Best enjoyed at 1am after 12+ pints.

Somewhat iconic? Presumably would have trademarked the name then ... ?

What are the odds that a food cart is a registered business and pays taxes, etc?Spigzy wrote:Somewhat iconic? Presumably would have trademarked the name then ... ?
Maybe it's that Brooklyn delivery/eat in fiasco all over again...

The guys at the original KP on the cnr of 172/51 said they were opening up a new shop up towards riverside??? Anyway, not bothered. As someone already mentioned, it's best enjoyed after a long session.
It's never too late to be nice, unless you die.
