Eldest daughter? If it's yours she must be around 55 now. Good of her to attend night school.crazyjohn wrote:In Cairns we have Jump Mania. Sixteen dollars an hour booked online, eighteen dollars otherwise. The kids love it. Tomorrow the eldest daughter walks there on the school trip, only a few minutes away. Fly Phnom Penh - Trampoline Park
Another visit and the kids lovvvvvved it. With the request to go again upcoming week, and then for a longer time (whole day, so to say). Let's see how to do that, probably in between go outside, eat, drink and then back to the trampolines.
Apart from the trampolines, there is a climbing wall with a big air cushion at the bottom. The oldest takes the challenge to jump down, some 4-5 meters. The oldest got private teaching in trampoline tricks, which he really liked. I challenged him, to learn to do a flip. There are other items like basketball from a trampoline, horizontal bouncing trampolines, some rope climbing, and some more challenges.
The little pop found a similar friend to play with at and around the trampolines, afterwards the parent gave me "thank you" for the reciprocal play-opportunity.
As expected, the number of visitors went down, around 6-8 children/adults during the hours I monitored there.
The whole is still a construction site.
Interesting, there is also a skateboard area, with ramps, obstacles, etc. Good idea. Strangely with a forbidden to photograph sign ...... Maybe because pros do use the area too, and they don't want to let their tricks leak.
Today, it was significantly less hot and more bearable.

Took the boys there for second time today. They had a good time. But it's a pretty awful place for parents to sit and wait while their kids play. Hot even at this time of year. And you can no longer drive down, have to park at the front and walk a long way. At least they've given up on the form filling nonsense.

No bar, no aircon. Just a fridge with water and soft drinks.ricecakes wrote:I was about to take the kids today and have shitcanned it on this basis. I am a horrible father.slavedog wrote: And you can no longer drive down, have to park at the front and walk a long way

I realise they cannot practically aircon the whole thing, but a room where parents can sit and watch / wait in comfort is essential if they want repeat business.

I took my son there the other day. He was over the moon.

Seriously.
Yeah, parents go in there to. I've seen some overweight teenagers go in there to, no problem.
Actually, there is a separate "birthday party room", with air conditioning, though the 2 outside air conditioning units together with the fans, create just a bearable environment at the parents platform. Just take care to site in the airflow of the fans and it's OK.
I did not consider asking permission to use the air-conditioned fishbowl to sit more comfortable.
Though: Bring your own drinks, they do sell water and soft drinks, though at seriously elevated pricing.
Yesterday, I did bring (over the day, we went out for lunch), 3 1.5l bottles of water and 8 cans of soft drinks for the kids. I did bring home only 1 1.5l bottle of water. The rest went down the throats......
Kids lovvvvvvvved it, even more than the first and second time. Even after some 6-7 hours, the kids did not want to go home. The oldest told his beloved Grandma to shut-up with her phone calls to come home for diner
The skateboard area is a free one, bring your own gear, no trainers, etc. Open, usually in late afternoon and early evenings. There is also a girls-only day, IIRC on Wednesday. In the weekends, open from around 12:00pm. It seems to be a public service from the Phnom Penh municipality.
The "no motobike" inside the complex policy is not nice, though it's not that bad, just plan accordingly.
