HE’s motorcade
HE’s motorcade
What does HE’s motorcade look like?
There was a massive disruption this morning as they blocked off road so people could cruise up Monivong uninterrupted. They blocked Sihanouk for a good ten minutes before they passed. I was expecting to see a long and large motorcade, but it was one cop car and then three Merc sedans. Was that him?

Most likely not, that would have probably just been a foreign delegation. Did you notice the flags on the bonnets?
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

He Usually has a larger police and CP presence though, not just 1 cop car.

He's motorcade is at least a kilometre long and travels at a ridiculous speed, I mean fast, very fast. There would be a very large presence of BHQ in the convoy most of whom would be wearing balaclavas. Most of the local police would have in position for at least an hour before the motocade went through that section , along with more BHQ n army.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.

What made me laugh everytime I saw the convoy , flying down the riverside, Norodom , never Monivong, airport road and of course He's Boulevard, was that there would always be a few cars struggling to keep up and bashing the horn n lights even more so as they trailed behind by up to a minute and the foot soldiers wandered off home.

Once I was driving a decent car and I joined such a motorcade, flashing lights and all, all the way from sihanoukville to pp. The cops at the back tried to wave me away, I just waved back and thumbed them up. Great fun.

It must be grand to drive around this city fast without any other traffic bothering your route. I don't believe he always travels like that, it's probably just when some foreign delegation of VIPs are getting a show. I work very close to his office and the Council of Ministers and Ministry of Defense and the roads rarely get blocked for long. I'm not sure if he still stays in the residence by the Independence Monument at all. There is always heavy security around there but I've never noticed any big motorcades pulling in. So I reckon the OP could have been right, there is pretty good security here in general and the big fella might just have wanted some peace and quiet.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
No flags on the cars, so not a foreign diplomatic party I don’t think.
There were a lot of police around the intersection, and all of them I presume, so if shit hit the fan there was no lack of security. I didn’t see the big BHQ bandasses around, but there were the dudes in dark green with only Khmer script on their sleeves, who’s that?
I don’t think he’s at the independence monument house much. I think he’s got a compound south of the city, so a motorcade up Monivong would make sense.

The big man never travels in a single car with followers, or a single helicopter. There's always an armada of similar vehicles or helicopters, and it's unknown in which one the big man is traveling.

It's a well known fact that if HE tells his housekeeper to go and buy a pizza and a big bottle of Hennessy, and hurry up,, she saves time by never putting up a flag up on the cars.

I saw a massive motorcade on the way back from Siem bloody Reap yesterday. There were police every 100 meters for at least 15 km at some point, and they couldn't care less I was blowing by at quite a high speed. Then they pulled traffic off to the side of the road so a small caravan went by. There were about 10 luxury SUVs.
But then about 20 minutes later the real procession went by, including the massive armored personal carriers with BHQ on the side. I missed the beginning of this as I was having a coffee.
Then about 30 minutes later there were about 15 black BMWs with a police escort.
Quite the process.
