Turning up and getting a job just because you can speak the language or - if you care get a CELTA - which is a one month course is hardly a profession.
The Chicken is right, nearly any native English speaker can get a job as a TEFLr, in Cambodia, but in the West, well many of the TEFLrs in Cambodia would never get the same job.
