Trude Jacobsen convicted of DUI for the third time (with child in car)
Longtime readers of the forum will remember the name Trude Jacobsen. She's a professor at Northern Illinois University who claims to be some kind of expert on Cambodian history and culture.
I believe she claimed to be Ken Wilcox's "wife."
She also said unflattering things about Khmer440 posters, like this:
Anyway "Doctor Trude" was convicted last month in Illinois of drunk driving, for the third time. Her 7 year old child was in the car when she was arrested.

She was scheduled to be sentenced this week but the sentencing has been postponed for thirty days.

When she was arrested for the DUI, did she also piss her trousers like her 'husband' was reported as doing in his arrest report ??

Here are the arrest reports for her 2014 and 2017 DUI arrests by the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office:
I'm having trouble uploading the report of her 2015 DUI arrest by the City of DeKalb.
Anyway, my favorite part of the 2017 arrest (page 17) is that after she was pulled over (due to a complaint call to the police from someone she almost ran off the road) the following interaction occurred:

She's a hot mess. Is that really how a 100K tenured NIU professor dresses for her most recent court appearence? https://www.daily-chronicle.com/2019/01 ... s/aofg0q2/

A person who puts on that amount of weight and who is repeatedly getting DUIs is going through a challenging time. Easy to judge, but not so much empathy. I know, I know, kid in the car. I'm just saying that heaping judgement online on her doesn't present a solution. Many readers of both forums are hard as nails, and have managed to get through life without succumbing to emotional weaknesses. My view is that those people have their own weaknesses. A balance between the two is where true mental and emotional health exists. Empathy doesn't mean you support their bad behaviour. It just means that despite the bad behaviour, you can understand without mocking judgement. No fun in that though.

Saying this with all due respect, I will give empathy a try here. I'm glad the fat cunt lost her right to operate a vehicle for the next 3 years. Is that empathy?

Yes, maybe. However, this is no meteor strike or cancer, it is all self-inflicted.violet wrote:A person who puts on that amount of weight and who is repeatedly getting DUIs is going through a challenging time.

I was referring to the lead up to the behaviour, not the result of the behaviour.Hanno wrote:Yes, maybe. Perhaps she just likes getting drunk and eating pies. Lots of people do.Hanno wrote:Yes, maybe. However, this is no meteor strike or cancer, it is all self-inflicted.violet wrote:A person who puts on that amount of weight and who is repeatedly getting DUIs is going through a challenging time.

Her 2015 DUI arrest by the City of DeKalb:
She was found asleep behind the wheel with the car running. Reported blood alcohol content was .234, almost three times the legal limit.

Indeed, maybe she should think about combining her two loves, alcohol and food, at Luckys supermarket. I reckon she’d get over 30 aisles an hour at her rate.slavedog wrote:Perhaps she just likes getting drunk and eating pies. Lots of people do.
