Imagine my disappointment when I realised it was not about Benny from Crossroads.spitthedog wrote:I thought it was gonna be a thread about an Italian wine bar or something?

I would on occasion, as a small child, sneak below stairs and peer at what the lower orders were entertaining themselves with.Indiana wrote:Must admit I didn’t have you down as a Crossroads kind of guyPlayboy wrote:Imagine my disappointment when I realised it was not about Benny from Crossroads.spitthedog wrote:I thought it was gonna be a thread about an Italian wine bar or something?
Also, I believe that Cambod has modelled his life on the great Benny from Crossroads.

Thanks - kind of what I thought/hoped - long enough to be an annoyance, short enough not to be anything more serious when suddenly stopped.RobW wrote:Two months is not terrible.Indiana wrote:Pesky little fuckers. Are there any tips to to reduce the shiteness?
You are in for a couple of uncomfortable weeks and insomnia.
Just remember if crazy things/sensations start happening it's the withdrawal nothing more
sinister.
Tip would be exercise.

I’ve started taking long layovers in nice airports where they have rooms for rent inside the terminals. (Incheon, Narita)
Don’t allow myself to sleep much on the flight, pass out in hotel during long layover and you’ve already started overcoming any jet lag before you’re finished with the flights.
I took Ambien once, never again. That shit is trippy.

Now, George was a good straight boy to begin with, but there was bad blood
In him; someway he got into the magic bullets and that leads straight to
Devil's work, just like marijuana leads to heroin; you think you can take
Them bullets or leave 'em, do you?
Just save a few for your bad days
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

With that time frame and the little dose, nothing dramatic is going to happen.
But you will be distinctly inconvenienced.
Duke it out lad. No point doing a taper after 2 months.

Just drink a bunch upon arrival and keep yourself up til 10 PM and you'll get a great sleep and wake up jetlag free.GMJS-440 wrote:I’ve started taking long layovers in nice airports where they have rooms for rent inside the terminals. (Incheon, Narita)

Jet lag is for wimps. We didnt sleep for near 24 hours on a recent double flight but were so knackered the following day we slept like babies.

Heroin is a great way to get off valium addiction. Sure it'll work with xanax too.

British Medical Journal about three years ago published the most comprehensive review ever untaken of all previous studies into the Benzodiazapin- Alzheimers connection.
The number they came up with; If you have taken Benzo on 50 days in any 5 year period of your life - your chances of developing Alzheimers are 30% higher.
They also proved a definite direct causal link. (not just that benzo users had other problems which meant they were more likely to develop Alzheimers anyway - the spiel that Eli Lilly always pushed)
Long flights and sleepless nights are a drag but the "cure" may be worse.
I am not been sanctimonious here -make your own informed choice.

...then he smiled again, and slipped away, further on up the stream

My mate Bernard always used to scam the social in the UK over his disability allowance. It was known as Benny fit fraud.
