Weeeeeeeeeeeer'e Back!
Am having some of the same issues as others ie being logged in/off etc...... I used to always be logged in automatically, but now sometime overnight, was logged off.
But that is not what I'm posting for........
Years ago, when Kid Kit was part owner of the forum, and then had a fall out with the other owners - there was a major sabotaging of the site - and all of those who enjoyed K440 back then were left in limbo, without access, lost threads, all sorts of shit! Guess what, it came back (though some threads were still lost - maybe deliberately??).
We then had that major Denial-of-service attack a while back, and again, heaps of frustration as we could not access the forum. But guess what, it came back!
Each time though, there were complaints, gripes, it was like we were all on the rags.............
So, congratulations Buscador, Migs, PB, even Scoffer for taking the step to upgrade. Some who are tech savvy like Alexandra (bless) - may know more shit about this stuff, but for most of us, or at least me - couldn't give a shit about phbp, https, pms blah blah blah (maybe I should be worried??) - as I don't go on the forum to check out the technical aspects - I go on it coz part of my heart is in Cambodia, which was home for 5 years.
Whenever there is transition, there will always be complaints / advice / suggestions - but don't lose sight of what we have here - make K440 great again!!!

Yeah, I can't stay logged in from my android chrome browser. And I tried resetting everything, etc.
That wasn't a problem before for me, although I've seen a few others with that same issue.

You have become too Cambodian making excuses for everything they ask you to do. It took you 4 years to upgrade phpBB. 4 years! Was it more? Let's be honest, it's not because of some complicated mysterious upgrade process. For fucks sake!
Install https://github.com/Pico/phpBB-Reputation-System

Everything is a whine and an impossibility. It's 2019 and like someone said, still no HTTPS. It's a 5 minute setup process with LetsEncrypt certbot. It's too hard, right?
Fucking bullshit! It's just one poor excuse after another.
"Like button? Sorry, no hab".
I like the new look . Very nice.
But where is my avatar you cunts ?

Rated R for Ricecakes
Can't even try to upload an avatar now, and unlike a lot of the others in the preset galleries, mine nowhere to be seen.
Meanwhile, Buscador keeps fighting the good fight ...

If you want to discuss this further, message me on Facebook or give me a call or whatever, as this is not the place for it.Alexandra wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 6:06 amYes there is. It can't be that much work if CEO's Indian can maintain it. "Cannot" is the Khmer software excuse.

I will address the issue of the Like button, however, since you have presented what you think is a solution. If you would like to develop a Like button extension for free--not a reputation system which we expressly decided was not wanted--and submit it for testing and acceptance to the phpbb extension database so that we can be sure it is not causing problems that will snowball and once again result in an unstable board, we will be more than happy to install it.
Yes, the existing sidebar ads look blurry, as they are just being enlarged by the Web server. I'm sure they will be better soon, but it was not a priority.
I will keep working until the log out problem is solved. Unfortunately, you guys have to be the testers. I just ask that you clear cookies and cache--especially cookies--before reporting problems.
For those wishing to remove just K440 cookies on Google Chome, cheeky little vid I found useful:
[edit: so Big ol' Busca, I did all that - I still get logged out each time.]

What I find interesting is the online users numbers used to run at about 300 , but since the changes that number has surged to 580-620.
Yes, doing that won't guarantee the problem is fixed. It will just guarantee that if the problem Is fixed, you will stop getting logged out.
Actually, there wasn't. I was the only person involved in the whole mess who was on speaking terms with all three of the involved parties. Before the transfer back to KiR, 440 had literally been served from a PC sitting under my desk at one point. When I arranged for the site to be put back into KiR's control, it was on the condition that I no longer wanted any involvement with it as anything other than a member. KiR or whomever was handling the technical side either completely screwed up (although to be fair, the site already had serious problems, partly due to the numerous crashes it had encountered while running from that seriously underpowered "server") or just took the easy route by deleting any corrupted database entries rather than trying to repair them. He found it convenient to blame it on the people he had just banned from the site. When I posted and said that he was not telling the truth, KiR banned me for two years.
