Kombucha is actually quite a decent beverage and avocado on toast is a tasty snack. However there is something about man buns that I just don't get. I view people who have these in a similar way as I view ISIS or Taleban members, they are extremists who need to be exterminated before they kill us.

At there are a few interesting things for sale...Playboy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:13 amMeanwhile - skipping vaguely back to the origanal topic - Expat 2.0 in its continuing quest to bring first world problems to a third world shithole, thus destroying any sense of adventure in being here, has a few queries about the harshness of life in a developing economy...

Kombucha is wildly popular here in the Pacific NW. Tried it for the first time last year. 40 different flavors to choose from. I chose one that tasted like the wet bark of an old spruce tree.. I like avacados but not for breakfast as some kind of protein substitute. Thats Expat 2.0 nonsense. I do give Sumo wrestlers a pass on the latter...Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:03 pmKombucha is actually quite a decent beverage and avocado on toast is a tasty snack. Why did the hipster burn his mouth?
Because he drank his coffee before it was cool.
Obviously not about Cambodia but there are some universal truths in it and it's quite funny.

Haven't yet tried kombucha (sp?) tea but I am very fond of avocados, though if I had 'em on toast it would need to be gluten free - no joke. Embarrassingly, I am intolerant.
On the other hand I am keener than one ought be on whacking up speedballs so I hope that compensates.

I think expats 1.0 should only be folks who lived here in the 90s. There are a handful on here but I'm certainly not one of them. So most of the rest of us are relative newbies. We could be 1.5. Anyone who came after the first Joma opened is 2.0.

To quote an more ancient poster than I, no ... you twatflannel.
With LL on this one, I can't place myself in 1.0 with the 90s folks, but I'm sure as hell not 2.0 either.

Only if you promise never to eat this with hipsters for breakfast as some sort of protein substitute.

And rather than accept that, you bang on about expat 2.0 being boring. It seems the only expat 2.0 to pass muster is Jamie, because he shags even more than the best of you did in your day. Plus he outstrips your language knowledge.
Whooooty....shagging makes you an expat 1.0
agree with other posters though, could never be classed as 1.0 as thats gotta be the pre-2000 crowd, i wish life was still like that now, but those golden years of debauchery are long gone, but im definitely not 2.0 either,
luckily for me most of the people i knock about with arent posters so most of my wild tales are safe lol Barang Doa Slae probably knows me the most well

Yeah, just be careful with pre-release, 0.97b and prior, expat types, often highly unstable and crash prone, despite the entertainment value and originality on offer.. and they always seem to skip the bill, while in your company it seems.

Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.
