Expats 2.0 vs 1.0
All this talk of how Expats 2.0 are so much softer than the hardy, frontier rough and tumble expats 1.0 who ruled the roost in the 90s and 00s is fascinating.
Such a life must have taken its toll on them because a core group of 440 stalwarts from the Expat 1.0 generation meet weekly for yoga sessions these days. They don’t just attend yoga classes - they initiated it and organise it themselves. Perhaps it helps them recover from the stress of all those gunfights in the good old days.
The K440 yoga group includes at least three or four oldtime expat 1.0s posting on this very thread.

^I’m not sure if those chaps are doing yoga, or just trying to find the best position for shaving their arse?

I would love to but they won’t let me join. Seems you have to bend over backwards to get in.

Haha this is true. They call it “men’s yoga” and meet twice a week, including on Friday nights. I was invited to join but kindly turned them down with the explanation that I’d probably be in the pub around that time.Dallow Spicer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 2:41 pmAll this talk of how Expats 2.0 are so much softer than the hardy, frontier rough and tumble expats 1.0 who ruled the roost in the 90s and 00s is fascinating.

A K440 initiated men's yoga class? This is a disturbing development.

The 440 members and Expats 1.0s who are involved in this abhorent behaviour should be named and shamed and kicked off the forum to set up a CEO-style alternative board where they can discuss wellbeing and provide each other with a mutually supportive group environment.
That one of the key protagonists wanted Migs to keep it quiet is damning evidence. I have a list of the key members. You know who you are.
Shame on you.

To be fair this accused party (individual number 1) is currently in the midst of a four day bender and probably can’t sober up and defend himself for another few days.Dallow Spicer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 6:32 pmThe 440 members and Expats 1.0s who are involved in this abhorent behaviour should be named and shamed and kicked off the forum to set up a CEO-style alternative board where they can discuss wellbeing and provide each other with a mutually supportive group environment.

What a tosser. If you're going to initiate such an emasculating endeavor...don't be a ball-less douche about it... own it.Dallow Spicer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 6:32 pmThat one of the key protagonists wanted Migs to keep it quiet is damning evidence.
