There are quite a few shitty council estates in Chelsea, and no doubt plenty of estate cars, Volvos used to be popular but I've no idea what would be now. However in the posh sense that Drew Carrington is trying to portray, it would mean a large area of land in the countryside, perhaps owned for generations, with a mansion and plenty of outbuildings like stables etc and some farmland or shooting grounds. That (semi-detached)house that Drew Carrington inherited would be considered a townhouse by someone wealthy enough to have an actual estate. An estate in the UK is (as you know) could be a shitty council house area, Central Park size grounds with multiple houses and one giant mansion, or a car that Yanks call a Station Wagon.

This is funny too, because that isn't an "estate", it's the rear of a townhouse.
I guess £40 million doesn't buy what it used to.

I'm sure it's a beautiful house and it's in a fabulous area but I don't believe that is what you would call an "estate". I'll wait for someone more knowledgeable on these matters to chime in. That house could cost £400 million and it still wouldn't be an estate. It's in central London and it's a townhouse.gavinmac wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:16 pmLucky Lucan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 8:06 pm

Whatever about that nonsense, I want to see how it pans out for him with his private jet for his pals from Miami to Stanstead next Tuesday. Hopefully he'll manage to get all the right decorations for his wedding to the other dude called Carrington? If it doesn't go well he can always use an electric baton on the wriggly guy's neck.

If he's telling people he's a psychiatrist and has come into money, how is he explaining sleeping on people's couches? I'm assuming some people are paying him for his skills - on and on the couch.

Someone asked me if Ken Wilcox has legally changed his name to Drew Carrington. I can't see that he has. It costs hundreds of dollars to do that and you have to be fingerprinted at a police station before they will let you change your name.
He announced back in May 2017 that he had "officially" changed his name to "Dr. Carrington," but the warrant issued for his arrest in January 2018 that is currently active is for Kenneth Drew Wilcox, not for Drew Carrington.
I don't think he ever formally changed his name to Ken Carrington or Drew Carrington.

Can you actually drop US citizenship?
Anyhoo. Lucky Lucan. We’re not arguing with you, well I’m not, just pointing out the ridiculousness of that douche.
Yes. That would never been an estate in the way he’s speaking.
My friend squatted in that area in the 70s not far from that “estate”. Was there 15 years.
That’s it for that story for now.

Yeah, you have to pay a $2500 fee, which he claimed he paid more than six months ago. And they don't let you remain a resident of the USA when you renounce.
