Age limit lifted for marriage
This was posted on Facebook, am not sure the accuracy:
I came across this document which says the marriage age limit (of 50 years) for male foreigners marrying Cambodian women was lifted in November 2018, but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. People here are saying there is still an age limit and the www.mfaic.gov.kh site still lists the age limit and I can't find this document on that site. But the U.S. embassy site seems to reference this document and says, "According to new marriage requirements issued on by the Government of Cambodia on November 20, 2018, male U.S. citizens wishing to marry Cambodian women must: Have a monthly income of at least US $2,500."
And that's it, no mention of an age limit (and I think it previously listed the age limit on the U.S. embassy site).
Here is the document in question:

Here is the U.S. embassy page:
https://kh.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-se ... -cambodia/

Thank ye Gods that the Missus does not read K440 or the American Embassy website.

Question: you earn $2500 a month and are 49 years old. You get married, the next year you change your job and earn under $2500. Can you claim a divorce based on changed financial circumstances?
If so, it would work out cheaper than a lawyer, I suspect. Just resign and you're done.

"wishing to marry Cambodian"
Not remotely related to conditions after marriage.
So, no, Vlad.

But were you trying to bring her home to Germany? In America you need to show you can support her too, or just have her walk across the southern border then move to a sanctuary city.Hanno wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 2:21 pmWhen I married a Vietnamese many years ago; I had to show proof of income to the German government.over the rainbow wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 1:35 pmmust be no other country in the world that sets how much $$ you must earn to marry a local
