Returnees - must visits in Phnom Penh
I asked what’s good to see for Phnom Penh virgins on their first visit to town. But how about you old timers... after being away for a long time, what’s your go-to list for the first few days back.
Hookers on st 136 blah blah blah. Anything else?

I think one thing that I will do with my children when we visit in June - after living in PP from 2000 to 2010 - is to walk up St 63 from MST Blvd up to the Old Market area. That was always a nice way to spend a few hours. Lots of interesting things to do and see along the way.
We will also go see the Olympic Stadium and other VMV buildings around town...

Savannah Mall, is mostly unchanged, almost like going back in time.
I think you will be quite disappointed by Olympic Stadium now. The stadium remains, and a few sports facilities around the edge (a new pool is being built). But huge areas of the site are being or have been built on.
I play tennis there, and it is about the worst environment I've ever played in. Dust and noise from all the construction, ugly buildings towering over you on three sides, it's pretty horrible.

I went to the Olympic courts the other day looking to find you, or another partner, for a quick set.slavedog wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 10:12 amI think you will be quite disappointed by Olympic Stadium now. It was a little late and no one was there, must have been after tennish.

I haven’t played in a few years... perhaps instead of a yoga group we should get a tennis group going.Stokely wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 12:35 pmI went to the Olympic courts the other day looking to find you, or another partner, for a quick set.slavedog wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 10:12 amI think you will be quite disappointed by Olympic Stadium now.
