Brickman in the slammer
Broken Bricks was raided by cops yesterday and Brickman was hauled off to the slammer.
Word is that cops were investigating a violent assault on a young Khmer woman which has resulted in her being in a critical medical condition (a coma!) at Calmette.

Wow. In a coma at Calmette is not a good place to be. Was the beaten Khmer woman one of his staff? Wasn't there a story about the Triads being after one of his staff members?
Did Brickman surrender willingly to the police? He seems like the type of bloke who would barricade himself in the bar and try to fight off the approaching coppers.
Did his kid get arrested too?

It was hardly a "raid".
Brickmanhad a verbal argument with his young remale worker, which somehow escalated into him attacking her, kicking her in the head and breaking her arm.
She's in a coma and the doctors give her a 50% chance of surviving.
An entire lynch mob went in for Brickman, as they do, but fortunately the police arrived and arrested him before they could kill him. The police gave him a bit of a beating too.
No news on who has Heng and whether he saw it all or not.
Brickman is at Poenchetong Jaiil. Given is lack of funds, I cant imagine him paying his way out anytime soon.

Spun out on crystal meth again?
Don't see how he's getting away with this one even if she pulls through. The cops will want a big pay off, the medical bills will be huge and then there's compensation for the girl. And he's broke. And who's going to give the little craphead money to make a problem like this one go away?
Once saw him throw an ashtray at a dude, but I think he saves the hands on stuff for the girls.jm wrote:Does Brickman ever strike men or just 40 kilo women?fortunately the police arrived and arrested him before they could kill him.
I usually feel sorry for people who do dumb shit, but everyone saw this coming ages ago, and tried to help, so tough shit. I do however feel bad for Heng. Any ideas what will happen to him?
P.S, for irony's sake, can we start refering to him as peaceman again?

Maybe if Peaceman gets out, he can reopen his bar and call it "Broken Arms."Fox Mulder wrote: And does anyone care about poor Falcon Randwick, now where is he going to drink when he returns to PP?
Do you think he's locked up in the same cell with Grant Kim Helling? They can both try to get their stories straight about how they each "accidentally" killed/beat into a coma a 40 kilo woman while defending themselves from the woman's vicious attacks.

I've just been out for a couple of hours to check how much of this is on the money and how much of it is the PP rumour mill running wild.
First off, nobody is in a coma.
Yesterday morning Peaceman/Brickman beat the crap out of a Khmer female employee/his girlfriend and by all accounts broke her arm. She's in hospital but thankfully her life is not in danger.
On the other hand Brickman's life was in very real danger when a crowd of Khmers heard what he'd done and tried to lynch him in his bar soon afterwards. He has the Khmer cops to thank for rescuing him. His bar is now trashed and he'd sustained a black eye and a broken nose by the time the cops got to him.
Brickman isn't in jail yet but is in a holding cell at a local police station off Monivong and as of this lunchtime the police seemed keen to prosecute Brickman according to the law - in which case he will appear in court tomorrow .
Apparantly it's clear to even him that he'll never be able to return to Broken Bricks, and the police are the very least of his worries - it's his neighborhood that tried to lynch him and would have indeed succeeded had the cops not got to him quickly.
In the meantime the cops have the keys for his bar and have posted a notice on the door saying 'closed by order' or whatever.
Rumour has it that he'll ask for voluntary deportation taking his kid with him. In the meantime Heng is being cared for by another expat.
