All the premium car dealerships on the road to the airport look ready. In guess all those visionary investors are cashing in now.

Here's a video posted last week, you can see the status of D.I. Riviera at the 3:40 mark.

So how much are they selling for now? A one bed was about 110 k I think and 2 beds about 200? That was when it was still in the ground.
A quick update, the latest Chinese venture is a tower on Norodom with one bed at 67 K. Considerably cheaper than DI Riviera was about two years ago. One bed was 110K then, never mind the quality feel the width.
The latest latest Chinese venture is Sino Plaza in Boueng Trabek, across the way from Boueng Trabak plaza next to the open sewer. 4 towers, 1x 43 floors (which I think would be the tallest in Phnom Penh) 2×42, and 1 36 floor hotel, plus shopping centre etc. etc.ken svay wrote:A quick update, the latest Chinese venture is a tower on Norodom with one bed at 67 K. They've broken ground already and are investing $250 Mil.
What is going on with these overpriced chinese buildings here in Phnom Penh? Most of them are empty. Even the Sokha hotel who has apartments are deserted! Who is going to buy or rent these kit-buildings? The Khmer working class with their bouncing salaries?
Every mid large real estate developer could easily put down some affordable housing:
These are just kits who is going to buy or rent that? Cambodia had a great opportunity to create nice affordable housing for expats and so on..
now they are trying to sell us this for Singaporean prices:

Tower A is ready. Handover happening within a month I believe. Tower B 50-60%, towers C and D maybe 30-40% done. Tower E still on ground level.gavinmac wrote:What's the status of this D.I. Riviera project?
Whenever I see this thread title, I can't help but think of a character in one of those pulp fiction Cambodian noir books written by people in kampot.
A murder of a British diplomat behind a seedy bar in the humid heart of Phnom Penh's red light district brings Scotland Yard's soon-to-retire D.I. Riviera to the Cambodian capital to investigate. A simple case unravels a web of corruption, drug and human trafficking and implicates shadowy figures from the top of government and the international underworld. Will Riviera solve the mystery and can he ESCAPE CAMBODIA ALIVE?
Massive stalker
Didnt they scrap the "horizon pool" shitty rip off of marina Bay sands
Recently just came across an agent recommending an unit at Riviera, claimed it was already completed but I have yet to arrange for viewing.
