Be the proud owner of a share in the Riverside Bistro
What's are the owners traditions that were mentioned he'd like to see continued? Being pants-less in the gutter at Golden sorya mall?

I understand you should aim high but its not only the business price this rent! 6000 a month! even in Switzerland or Norway that would be high. so he pays 72.000$ rent every year !!?? This country and its people completely lost the touch with reality, but I agree its not his fault this is just how it goes here. And it will continue to go like that, in the end that is also what the owner of the building calculated and dreams of.. He is hoping that the renter will make just about 100$ a month profit.. that would be perfect for the owner of the building.. because they enjoy it so much to squeeze people out.
ohhh noo don't let him make more than immediately the sangkat and others will demand their cut..
Take for example the old Walkabout pub, it is still empty, for how long now 2 years or so? The owner refused to get what was it 2000$ a month for that shithole! so he refused like 50.000 dollar, with that money he could have bought a lot of land.. But they don't want that, they want to enjoy and watch...
Take note that locals can still buy decent property with 50k, especially because they only buy here when people are in absolute misery and pain with hospital bills and deaths..

Is the current owner unwell or somehow mentally incapacitated? How else to explain that someone would entrust the sale of their prime business for the sum of $450,000 to be led by that fat failed actor telly tubby? What serious potential new owner with that much to sink into a new business would not just walk away after one meeting with him. I can't think of anybody less qualified, I'd rather have someone dressed as Ronald McDonald pitching it.

Most likely. The starkness of that $450k price tag hits home when you see it side by side Sharkys Bar for 85% less. I have no idea how Sharkys is doing after Mike's death but it at least has a huge brand awareness not just in Cambodia but right around the SEA region.
The only thing Riverside is known for is Andy's drunken GSM antics and the fact they briefly hired Telesales to try to sell it.

First, anyone who thinks acting in a Cannes film that made it to "Un Certain Regard" is "failing" is just another K440 idiot.
Second, the price is determined by the owner, not by anyone else.
Third, I'm just big-boned, it runs in the family.
Fourth, do you blame real estate agencies for the prices the owner set? How in your inebriated mind can you blame me, then?
Stop molesting the messenger, Womb Raider. Thanks.
At the end of the day, with a location like that, it appears ANYONE can make a profit with that location.
And again, let me bring up the mighty American chain that passed on Riverside Bistro, tried to go cheap (!!), and got stuck with a lemon. Someone wrote those unfortunates spent $800,000 on a BROKE BUILDING. Duh.
A wise German saying, "Sometimes the cheapest way is the most expensive way." Words to live by in Phnom Penh.
It might not be cheap, but it certainly is solid.
And if you can't afford a Riverside location, go get Sharky's and see how well you do over there.
Location, location, location. And expect to get busy if you have half a brain and you can run a restaurant ...

Your loyalty is wonderful, especially given the word around town is that you got fired from Riverside Bistro.

Again, I'm not fat. I'm big boned.
What's your fascination with skinniness anyways?
And is that all you've got?
Childish fat jokes??
Really?
Grow up, people.

Telesales/Arty/Riversnide walks into an Sharkys and asks for a pint of Budweiser. The barman replied "You're American aren't you?". Tellytuby says "Wow yes I am and how did you know, is it because of the drink I ordered, or the accent?"
Nope, its because you're a fat fucker.

My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

you are a failed actor what was your role in the Cannes nominated film? mute homeless man? dead body? or TukTuk driver which seem to be the default roles you're typecast in. I doubt the films success or lack off had anything to do with your blink and you'll miss it appearance.TristranandIsolde wrote:What a moron.tombraider wrote:Is the current owner unwell or somehow mentally incapacitated? Talking of inebriated minds at what point did I suggest you set the price? My point is that if I was going to be selling anything of value, come to think of it anything over $5 the last person I would entrust to be at the sharp end of negotiating with potential buyers is someone who spews as much verbal diarrhea as you. A man who is so lacking in boundaries, emotional intelligence and self-awareness of the utter bollocks that you spout both from you mouth and on the screen as you approached them with all the gusto and hot air of a failed telesalesman that you would terrify them. They'd think it was some kind of prank that they had sent the head clown to discuss this sale and promptly walk away.
Just reading your posts make me want to jab my eyes out. There is nothing worse than some illiterate dope thinking they can write interesting prose full of wit, intelligence and subtlety things that are none existent in your big boned frame. Imagine my horror as I started reading this Asia Life article as I wondered why a sudden yet familiar migraine had appeared and it was just as I was reaching for the sharpest receptacle to jab out my oculi when I realised it was because it was written by you. Slipping in the word antique in 5 places, could you not think of any more adjectives "the place itself is a gigantic antique", "he venue is like a small antique park" it reads like a twelve year old wrote it.
