If you don’t receive a proper pay slip, just money into your account on a monthly basis, what do you use to file your taxes?
Also, do I need to declare my salary, or the amount that I actually get after Cambodian taxes?

You do form 2555 or 2555 EZ. Depending on your residency status you have a deduction which is up to $102k.

Without payslips, you better hope you do not get audited.
Could be tricky if you ever try to enter the land of the free again or try to renew your passport.
Them IRS dudes Is badass.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

Do the US really stop you getting a passport if you owe tax?
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Not that I recommend this, however I completed a bunch of years taxes at the same time when I was in Cambodia. I knew I didn’t owe anything so the IRS wouldn’t care if they were late. One year I just had an excel sheet as support.
IRS accepted them all no issues. I’ve run my tax transcripts to confirm.
Technically they could fine you for filing late, but as long as you don’t owe they are not likely to. And if you live in Cambodia over half the year and make under 100k you should be fine.

You can get yearly transcripts from the IRS of your historical taxes, at least 5 years worth. You can access them online, somewhere on the IRS website after you create an account.amirite wrote:What do you mean by that?GMJS-440 wrote: I’ve run my tax transcripts to confirm.
I needed them as part of USA visa process for my wife.
