I'm kinda settled here in VN but , frankly, Laos, SCambodia; even China (where I have friends and language skills)
tHERE IS HUGE DEMAND FOR WASTE DISPOSAL and elecrtricity all over these countries.
We have widely successful plants in Ireland and UK but there are huge problems here.
1) Bribes
2) "must set up office" purely to scam roundeye into puttting money in local economy.
3) Big one. After we pay tens of thousands of dollars for conceiviability consultancy charges. We must hand these into local government office. Local government officers share them with friends, borow money (family and banks) - set up the biz, steal our business model.
4) no enticements except perhaps some crap land.
5) gnerally, VN Govt just hoplessly corrupt; nepotism etc.
I have a friend from nr Hanoi, Businessman, very connected and I think can protect me to a good extent. I really think i can trust him99% - but if it makes a lot well money corrupts absolutely....
Anyhow, if anyone is interested in anaerobic digestors; electric output, fertiliser and bio-gases; it would be great to chat and share some thoughts. I very much doubt SEA nations have to pay to dispose of organic waste.
Huge problem is VN sells electricity at a loss though that's just changing. I beleive a similar situation exists in Laos and Cambodia.
My family trust also invests in solar and land energy but I juts cant really see that happening here. or there, uk govt policy dependebly undependependeble
If any any one know more or has any ideas, please get in touch.
I just want to do sth good for environment, but only if it's profitable
I will start a new thread about investments
You all give me a bio-digester/ power plant idea

Unless you have a herd of cattle then you don't have enough shit for electricity generation from the typical home unit not enough gas produced.AnassRamaIV wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 7:58 pmI'm kinda settled here in VN but , frankly, Laos, SCambodia; even China (where I have friends and language skills)

There would be enough gas produced to run something like a gas refrigerator or freezer as they use a small candle like flame 24/7
A large scale country , providence or village wide system would be very costly with all the plumbing and infrastructure involved. Then you would need the digester making gas and the rather large generator not cheap either. Finally you need the electrical distribution also rather involved and expensive too

Rice husks from rice mills and chicken shit from large chicken farm operations.
Set up and operations should be easy here. You don't need almost any bringing for this category of business, just paying a little for getting things smoother would be enough. I don't see any reason for the govt to bother you especially considering the lack of electricity supply.
The main question mark is how much EDC will pay for your electricity.
They are notoriously stingy.
Apply at the ministry of mines and energy and at EDC if you want to sell on the grid.
Register with MOC and GDT.
Pay a bit so they will deal with the minute formalities themselves.
Get permit from sangkat to build.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Cambodia does not sell electricity at a loss. WE had 30 days without power for 6 hours every single day and our bill was higher than for an uninterrupted month.AnassRamaIV wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 7:58 pmHuge problem is VN sells electricity at a loss though that's just changing.
