My missus and all her family are constantly 'sick', the whole lot of them. We live in a nation of hypochondriacs. One sneeze or sniffle and they instantly think they're dying. Unless of course....
Me: ''How are you sweetheart?''
Her: ''Oh I'm feeling so sick today. My head hurts and I have bad cold.''
Me: Well that's a shame because I was going to take you shopping.
Her: ''Oh I'll have a shower. Please wait ten minutes.''

KIR,
You mentioned the magic "All Purpose - Fix it All medication" Shopping.
But what would of her answer been if you'ed asked for sex !
No!!!, I'm to sick, but a bit of shopping might make me better a bit later

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

That's the medication that invariably works in my marriage. Most so-called sickness are psychosomatic; Cambodians don't understand the physical effects of stress. Sex is a cheap and effective stress-buster; Dr. Andy thoroughly recommends it.scoffer wrote:KIR,

I listen, but there's a certain point where I stop hearing. Everyone deserves to piss and moan and complain, just as long as they don't expect me to give a flying fuck.MissTara wrote:perhaps because i listen? Whether true or not or my business or not, everyone deserves to tell their story.

I have no sympathy for any tuk tuk, they clutter the streets making parking difficult for us consumers who actually spend money in this town.
They are handy for emergency ganga buys, however.
Our three year old daughter who is just starting to speak english has got it right however.
The other night on the riverside when i was looking for a parking spot came out with-fucking tuk tuks.
A chip off the old block!

Motos who deliberately park at a 45 degree angle where two streets meet and form a corner piss me off far more than tuk tuks - apart, that is, from that annoying tuk-tuk-driving assclown who used to park right outside the old Jungle Bar and then get really snotty and pissed off when I - a paying customer - asked the fucker to move his rustbucket so I could park my Vespa outside the bar I intended to drink in.

If not , why not.hanky wrote:With their large, extended family, this is quite possibly true. What is has to do with you is another thing. I've got a sick Cambodian relative, but she lives in Minnesota and is quite capable of looking after her own medical problems.EVERY Cambodian I met had a sick relative.
