Compression Test (Motorcycle)
Where can I get a compression test done on a motorcycle? Most places I've been to don't have the necessary equipment. Or failing that, where to get a compression gauge and related connecting hardware?

Two Wheels Only has one.
You can buy a (good enough) taiwanese one at russian market for $30.

I'm surprised since I recently went to Thailand only to score a (blind) bearing puller, a pulley puller and Loctite.

I bought an oil pressure gauge for $7 and Psar touch, then had a machine shop braze a Schroeder valve to a spark plug with the innards removed and drilled out.
Total cost of $11. Worked fine. I'd lend it to you if I were in pp.

I had a "cheapy" that worked well and had a universal adapter like this:Elekid wrote:Seriously, including some adapters?reflexline wrote:Two Wheels Only has one.

Unless its multiple cylinders where you would need more specifics a bikes compression should be strong enough that you cannot keep the plug hole covered with your thumb. Weak compression will not blow it off or with very little force with good compression nothing you can do will stop it from blowing by your thumb/finger.
