4) Yamaha
Read all of AE86's relevant posts. http://www.khmer440.com/chat_forum/sear ... 3&sr=posts
And his older posts as AK87 (sorry, can't find the link).
The pictures might be gone (damn photobucket to hell), but the info is excellent.
Hope you and your family are well, Akira!

I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.
Yes good posts, and Yamaha is the way to go. I run a Yamaha Jupiter, great bike, bought it new in 2012chkwoot wrote:4) Yamaha

Or a Suzuki Wave/Smash (although semi auto). Much better bikes than Honda, 30% cheaper and they have actual oil filters! Plus they don’t have that gimmicky stop/start nonsense on them.
pew, pew, pew, pew!

Don't buy any old models of those automatic scooters, they wear out and are almost impossible to fix after a while. Todays are automatic but cheap and reliable, otherwise go semi-auto like a Wave or Dream.b3ns0n91 wrote:Hai all, I want to buy second hand motor, for the model year (2008-2012) around. Just some of the AMT parts output shaft - "counter shaft" opposite shaft - "main
shaft" sprockets - "gears" interlocking side teeth - "dogs" shifting arms - "shift...

My Honda Click 2010 model is still going strong after 38500K's . Only problems I have had are the odd flat tyre and a dirty air filter. Regular oil changes.
If you're old and fat, you should consider getting a three wheeler. I've seen plenty around.
They don't corner very well, unless you get a Piaggio MP3 of course!Oldnews wrote:If you're old and fat, you should consider getting a three wheeler. I've seen plenty around.

That's an interesting assembly, I had no idea how they worked. Anyway, I'm going on what I've heard (from mechanics too), and the fact that the value of these bikes drops so much after a few years and that they have become relatively rare on the streets.Beaker wrote:Lucky Lucan wrote:Don't buy any old models of those automatic scooters, they wear out and are almost impossible to fix after a while. I see a lot of the old twist and go moto's out in the countryside.Beat to death. The only way the hillbillies can afford them. The torque converter is pretty simple. They have been around forever. Many of the new cars use them where they are called CVT.Just change the belt every 20 or 30 K.on the bikes. My PCX has twenty thousand K on it and never done anything but oil changes. The smoothest, easiest to ride bike I have ever ridden.Just don't take it off road.
Almost every Icon I have ever seen has been ragged out.Beat to shit.Young punk owners.I like the Airblade but they are starting to show their age.Sits taller than most of the 125's.I put about ten thousand K on a Click about 10 years ago.Never missed a beat. And the only one of the three that are still sold new.
I've had three Suzuki Smash Revo's.About one hundred thousand K I have put on them. Not bad bikes. The CDI box went on all three until replaced with one from a Honda. All three had the front caliper problem.Little stuff like the starter, horn, lights. No big problems.Parts easy to find.Anyone could work on them.Pick up a good used one for 4 or 5 hundred.Easy to sell but resale not so good.
Yamaha builds a good bike but not so easy to find parts outside the bigger cities.Khmer don't like them so the resale is shit.
Agree with LL,the best buy,new or used,in Cambodia, is the Wave.
I think,based on almost 50 years of riding,wrenching,and racing { MX } bikes,it's hard to beat a Honda.I still love my Kawasaki's but I don't want one here.
Hard to go wrong with any of the Japanese bikes or cars for that matter. But having worked on many different kinds,I have to go with Honda and Toyota.

I rented a SYM from the Irish guy who got killed in the hit and run.Think the name of the place was Little Bikes.I liked it.Didn't have it long enough to do a proper test but I have heard good things about them and KYMCO.Made in Taiwan I believe.
thx mate
