Vespa 150 GS?

Whether you've got a Tico or a Lexus, a Dailim or a Harley, this is the forum to discuss transport in Cambodia. Where to buy it, how much to pay and what to do when the wheels fall off.

Vespa 150 GS?

Postby AnassRamaIV » Fri Sep 21, 2018 5:09 pm

Gf just surprise purchased one.

Already tyres have holes in them. Nobody stocks them so put SYM Aprila 10" ones on. 14 quid each.

Wouldn't start, new pre-heater carb thing? 14 quid an hour for labour alone at Piaggio stores. Normal places don't stock Piaggio parts, especially 2009 models.

Is it worth doing this thing up as they have a rep as money pits.?

only cost 200 quid though.

I was getting hot under the collar when i heard 150cc, but then a quick analysis of the wheel size vs. potholes plus it sounds like a shit hairdryer plus the exhaust is blowing hot smoke right up my trouser leg to my sweaty chouder....etc

any1 got one? any advice?

People are buying 2009 models and doing them up?
I have no idea about the model reference but when I purchased a 1970s vespa in 2000 it cost 150$ and was both a nightmare to start , to maintain and run, but actually good fun to drive. I sold it around 2010 when the laws were being changed about licenses and helmets and such like. Switchec to bicycles , one of my best ever moves. Anyway, price seems like a good deal if it is that young.

Many Vespa shops in Vietnam and they will send parts via bus which is darn cheap and quick

I have a Piaggio 300cc, I have purchased parts from here in the UK - fast delivery & cost effective -

I have also used other sellers in EU, PM me if you want more detail

For service I can recommend Elite Motosport at #18 St 95 - they are knowledgeable, competent & cost effective

I think all Vespas are made in China now.

(And that’s a good thing. Italian quality? Lol)
