Cambod, you have a fine nose you, very good, but not good enough, clearly it is not a dogs nose.cambod wrote:It's obvious you will just have to import it when you come, and export it when you leave.ninjacambo wrote:On the border I will get 30 days easily, so my question was and is, how and where can I extend it? I would be fine with overstaying if I only have to pay a small sum of money when I re-export it back to Thailand after 5.5 months. Does anybody know how much I have to pay if the bike overstays?James Bong wrote:Look a temp import is only for high end or large projects that would benefit from it. A temp import permit costs anywhere up to 1k and takes time, in addition to customs fees and import charges, then you need to give them a deposit for the actual value of the tax (can be negotiable) which is refunded when you take the goods back out.
Have you got a registered import / export company here? if not forget it.
Customs wont bother looking at it for 1 x bike, not worth it.
its a very difficult process and that's the way they want to keep it.
Just pay the fine/s you will be better off.
Any more questions?
