I've managed to get copies of 2016 tables for autos, trucks, and buses. At least that's what I've been told they are. Anyone who wants a copy, PM to me an email address and I'll forward.steelyRon wrote:LexusSchmexus wrote:I would appreciate it as well. I'd be especially interested in the import tax for motorcycles. I've seen the old 2014 table, but it always confused me and rates have likely changed once more.
If anyone is able to secure the latest tables, I'd sure appreciate a copy. I've tried various ways, and so far nothing!
Still looking for motorcycle table..
Thanks for the information...not so much for the attitude..
Says the guy who has been pumping the site for info about importing cars and hasn't contributed shit or feedback about it, evernot so much for the attitude..

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and ...
I have never posted pictures here, and am not sure how to do it. I did offer to send the pictures I have to anyone who would send me their email address. So far, I have sent to three. Will send to anyone who requests. One has converted them to PDF format...so I can send that to anyone who requests.walkjivefly wrote:Why not take pictures and post here so anyone can see them?steelyRon wrote:

You must not have read the thread.. I offered to send what I have to anyone who wants copies, and have sent to 3 already. I, unlike you ( mr. 4500 posts ), do not spend every minute of my life on this forum, and thus do not see a straight away method to post pictures.logos wrote:Says the guy who has been pumping the site for info about importing cars and hasn't contributed shit or feedback about it, evernot so much for the attitude..

You are both correct the base value is calculated on age and engine size with some value % modifier for German and Chinese cars. Than that value is taxed at the above mention percentage (or other % for buses and special vehicles going from 135%+ for same category to 0% for ambulances)Bubble T wrote:No idea where you got that idea... It's based on engine size and age of the vehicle and has nothing to do with value of the vehicle.440SIX-PACK wrote:Import tax/duty is around 122.75% of an arbitrarily determined value of the vehicle
New import tax rates are coming in January 2016, and anything you ship now won't arrive before then, so best to wait until the new rates are announced before shipping any cars...

Anyone know how that list actually works? Say one imports a 2017 250cc bike. Then you'd pay $2400 in import duties? If you import a 2005 450cc bike, you'd pay $1700?

Yeah, those are not the tax costs. They are the Cambodian standard valuations for bikes of those years and you pay roughly 58% of that in import duty.
So for a 2005 450cc road bike you should pay approx $988 in duty.
The top list is for road bikes, dirt bikes, in the bottom table, get a better deal as their Cambodian book values are less.
Much more tax than previously.
The red box shows what I paid to import my 2004 1200cc street bike in late April.
If it hadn't taken so long to ship I would have paid at last years much cheaper rate.
