How to stop it breaking down on khmer440 pub nights.ricecakes wrote:What do you need to ask him vlad ? How to get on one ?
Wtf is Akira?
I never noticed any posts where he complained about other posters, but he mentioned once before that when he is not in Cambodia he never reads this forum, so if he has left for good then I won't be surprised if we never hear from him again. Too bad. I never met him but everyone who did said he was a great guy.

I would ask you, but I've never wanted the bicycle style where the seat has been removed.ricecakes wrote:What do you need to ask him vlad ? How to get on one ?

I bought his Honda Cub and he threw me a load of spares because he'd had enough of Cambodia, possibly to do with his wife getting grief, and he also said he'd had agro from posters on 440.Buscador wrote:I never noticed any posts where he complained about other posters, but he mentioned once before that when he is not in Cambodia he never reads this forum, so if he has left for good then I won't be surprised if we never hear from him again. Maybe it was via pm as I never saw it.
He was my Honda tech line.

Whether it was his coffee or his bikes, I only ever remember forum members showing the guy a lot of respect. K440 respect is rare.

I think I gave him a hard time over befriending the scammer who pretended to be Jamaican and was whoring out some european chick.Gin&Tonic wrote:Never saw akira get one negative comment on 440
But he didn't deserve it, he just was fooled to think the guy was a nice guy.
Akira has been helpful to me as well on Moto issues.

Just wanted to chime in for a moment as I'm passing through Cambodia and heading back to Vietnam, as I kind of missed this place.
Honestly, the main reason I stopped posting cold turkey for a while is because I was spending way too much of my free time on here. I'd log in, start reading, post a few times and next thing I know my free time was gone. So like when I quit smoking, I figured the best way to control myself was to quit cold turkey for a while. True I did get a bit irritated with a few shit posters and that was a factor in my stopping, but I don't have a problem with most people here. GMJS nothing you said bothered me re: the Nigerian guy who I don't know what happened to, and that goes for anyone else that replied to the thread. I read it all and I have no beefs with anyone.
As for me I've started another business and have been extremely busy, so don't expect me to be posting much (if at all), but I might pop in once in a while.
Anyway, that's all, just wanted to chime in.

P.S. Vlad, shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you. Give me a day or two to reply as I'm still traveling around.

Akira, great to hear that you're active and busy. Are you in Vietnam? That's my next residential destination come late spring. Hope family things are going a lot smoother in your new location.

I'm all over the place, but Vietnam is where I'm setting up a more permanent home, yes. Things are far from smooth, , but going alright.

Best of luck, I valued your postings and noticed your absence. When I saw you had popped up again, here and "the other place" I was glad to see it.AE86 wrote:I'm all over the place, but Vietnam is where I'm setting up a more permanent home, yes. Things are far from smooth, , but going alright.
Hopefully you don't totally disengage again when you settle in Vietnam.
