Can I buy a motorcycle 125cc and above without Cambodia driving license?
Hello Guys,
I'm planning to have a motorcycle in Cambodia but I don't have motorcycle license. Is it possible? Is anyone know the step of buying a motorcycle?
Many Thanks,
Jimmy

125cc & below legally as far as I'm aware, >125cc requires a license ... but no one cares.*
* unless you get caught breaking some other law like not wearing a helmet, going through a red, wearing Crocs, etc.

If you're not experienced on a motorcycle I'd implore you not to learn in SE Asia!
Purely for your safety and cash in your pocket. Also check your insurance (if you have any) as they won't cover you when you fall off.

Armed Robber Shot Dead by Cambodian Police
I reckon this is a Cambodian Urban Legend - In 10+ years I've never once seen a foreigner not stop for the police when shepherded in for a chat. Not a single foreigner I know is capable of the 'freshy boy' dodge & swerve at speed - and secondly probably not dumb enough to risk life & limb in a crash to get away from a $5 fine.Playboy wrote:Only of you are foolishly naive enough to actually stop for the police
Video evidence of foreigners evading police*, or I call BS.
* no drunks
* no "Russians" of SHV
* no debatable was he "Chinese"? or actually Khmer
* other terms & conditions apply

^ Nonsense, I have done it many, many, times myself over the years.
Also, you do not always need to do the Freshy Swerve, oft times I just aim straight at them, accelerate, and scream 'pesants!'
They leap out of the way swiftly

Been a dodger in the past. Not that many times admittedly and not at all in the past 3 years. The boys in blue have either been more relaxed or I have been better behaved.

Usually, if they have me bang to rights, I pull over, am polite, and pay the ticket. Usually that would be when I get done speeding in the car with the radar gun.
When they try and pull me for a shakedown, that's when I get the fuck out of there.
And, yeah, has rarely happened since before the last general election.

I used to do it but now I have a licence so don't.
So that's three people already. Lol.
