Duties & Taxes On Car Import In Cambodia
I was amazed at the clusterfuck of traffic in Phnom Penh, it was virtually impossible to get around to the point we just stayed at the hotel during the day.

You guys are being a tad dramatic... I drive around town all the time. Of course some areas are worse than others, but I go to TTP, Riverfront, even TK every now and then when I have to. Evening rush hour can suck, especially if there’s been a monsoon rain just before it, but generally speaking getting around town isn’t too bad. And I drive a car - those on motos get around way faster.
Central London is pretty much gridlocked most days. Even Sunday.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Until around 7 pm I move around faster on a bicycle than by car.

They still leave the plastic that covers the sits inside ...YaTingPom wrote:That’s what FB is for.Playboy wrote:You can not drive your house around town and gain face.
I saw a car (can’t remember what it was as I was laughing so much) that not only had the tape under the door handle but also the foam blocks on the doors they put in for shipping so it doesn’t damage another new car!
Next it’ll be leaving the plastic wrapping on the roof, bonnet, boot and wheels. “LOOK AT HOW NEW MY CAR IS!”

Bwahaha I’m just picturing it now, you wearing a safari vest, biking through the jungle of PP, getting turned away from a burger in GSM and ending up on street 104, looking both ways before entering Airforce Bar.logos wrote:Until around 7 pm I move around faster on a bicycle than by car.

Great Duke Hotel (formerly Intercontinental) to riverside in 30 minutes at peak rush hour. True, the traffic is intense, but as long as you don’t drive like an retiree in Florida and fight your way through it’s surprising how quickly you can move.

There's a few tricks, like taking quiet st180 going west towards Monivong, going left one block on the left side of the divider while crossing over towards the right to continue on 182, then left on the smaller side roads such as 125 towards 214, which often is pretty clear, .. this works in the afternoons, where the sun keeps the cops elsewhere. But only on a bicycle/moto though.https://www.google.com.kh/maps/@11.5627 ... er=0&hl=en
6pm on a Friday probably isn't the best time of the week to get to the airportMiguelito wrote:Riverside to the airport just took 80 minutes.
Luckily entrance door of the airport to the lounge took about 6 minutes.
