Apply for your Certificate of Residence from your local Sangkat with copy of your lease, passport and Visa EOS. If your landlord hasn't registered you with the Sangkat then they will need to do so.

However, despite this being a requirement, most people report that they don’t need it for just the one year license that you can get at Aeon 2.

I don’t think that’s right Migs, they don’t need it for a renewal (providing address hasn’t changed) but for the first one I think it is still needed.

Yea, you might be right. A quick search of comments show that it’s not needed for renewals, but no comment on new. Maybe someone has experience..?

It was tackled on a Cambodian forum before: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62930&start=60
Spigzy wrote:You must have the Sangkat letter, and yes you'll need to pay - it is in the <$50 mark for sure, I had a family member do it and I got a bit of change out of a Grant to do this damn letter twice. I shared an example of the letter you need on Twitter, can't be arsed to upload it to an image sharing website so try here: https://twitter.com/Spigzy/status/1069623075535183872
Consensus seemed to be for a new license it is needed, for renewal not needed.

How about if you had a licence but lost it. Will there be a record of that licence in a computer somewhere or do you have to start all over again?

There should absolutely be a record. I say this because all licenses have a QR code on them, that you can scan and then get more info about the holder of the license.

Now, if the office is willing and able to bring that info up, that is another question.

They only introduced the QR code last year I think, same time the paper ones were started.
Locals must be able to replace their 10 licence so there must be a way.
