My mate used to have a Samsung S5 or S6 that when he was offline and someone rang his phone it would ring it over wi-fi instead. He works at sea.
Samsung pulled this functionality on later phones but I was wondering if there was an alternative that anyone here uses?

Why would this be necessary. Most 'calls' nowadays are over WhatsApp, FB, iMessage and the whole range of other messaging apps. Nobody uses phone numbers anymore to make calls - why would you when it's free (or just WIFI / data costs)?
