I recently had a hot water pot similar to this die on me. So pulled it apart to see if it was just something obvious, which it was of course. The thermal fuse had blown.
The thermal fuse is a safety device designed to open should the unit get above 172C which, if you don't put any water in it would happen pretty quickly. My first thought was to send it out for repair, but I don't trust them to put a fuse in when it saves 20 cents just to join the wires together.
So I thought I'd order some off Aliexpress and have been waiting 2 weeks now, but it looks like I didn't, so I was wondering if they are available locally.
Coincidentally one of my wall fans stopped spinning. Not a seized bearing this time so did a bit of research and found that they also use a thermal fuse. This one is 130C 2A.
