SingMeng ISP in Cambodia (Chinese company)
Anyone have any experience of them? Reliability vs other providers?

Would have responded earlier but don't get here much lately. I use them and wish I didn't!
It took 3 teams arriving throughout the day to get the service installed. I had to take the guy to buy a drill bit big enough to go through my wall. Lost two points for efficiency and not being prepped.
They cut my service once for no reason.
Every month, no matter how nice I tell them not to call me, or, no matter how not nice I tell them, they still insist on calling to remind me that my bill is due in a week. It's annoying!
I'm going to sinet or opennet. Singmeng does not cut the mustard!

They all use the same lines don’t they, owned by Ezecom?
pew, pew, pew, pew!
I think the backbone is a mix of Telecom Cambodia, Viettel (Metfone) plus some Chinese & Japanese players also laying optic cables & wotnot - there used to be a nifty diagram showing how all the ISPs plug into this backbone, plus the other stuff like the undersea connections & so on. Can't find it with a simple Google search sorry, but will have a dig around some old documents on a rainy day.

Nice, but it is missing the local ISP connection stuff as far as I see - there was a good image some time back in one of the publications here showing how they all piggyback each other or the big cable boys; damn can't find it.

https://labs.apnic.net/vizas/#KH this one show AS connections within the country, not really readable, but can still give an idea of who's related to who.

Any update...anyone using using Sing Meng for internet &/or TV? Looks like a half decent TV package, not that I watch much tv, but they offer Setanta Sport which I believe will be screening the RWC this year?
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Sing Meng have been here a number of years and six months ago acquired the business of Digi .
Their TV Service is good with very high quality pictures which is great for AFL on Australian network. Whereas If I watch on PPCTV Its hard to read the score sometimes or wonder if its raining in Adelaide
Many Fixed broadband providers use the services of Wholesaler CFOCN for Local Infrastructure and Telcotech (Ezecom) is a provider of of Bandwidth to many ISP's rather than Cable network infrastructure. I believe that Sing Ming as alternative bandwidth supplier as well as Telcotech that can provide redundancy in their network
Thanks, so that's one positive review so far, appreciate your feedback.
