I was told today, by a SMART employee, that SMART does not enable MMS messaging. That sounded crazy to me, but as the day has gone on, I have a faint memory of hearing about this before. Was there a nationwide ban due to pornography?
Is it only SMART or all phone service providers here?

Eh?
MMS is just a message with attachments. It’s used on all smartphones.

Well...I have just informed you that it is not available with SMART and Playboy has said it is not available on cellcard.YaTingPom wrote:Eh?

I want to know the reason why, and whether any phone companies here allow MMS.
One person's banal is another's mildly interesting.
Now, run along and play with your snot or something.

Smart have an mms access point that is automatically configured when you put a sim in. But since mms haven't been used by anyone since 2009, I'm not surprised it doesn't work.
I just tested on mine and no dice.
Is there a reason you need mms? It's just a very slow version of the chat apps available today.

She needs to send some pictures to an admirer. Email might be better, you can add bigger pictures.

Oh and the ban was on 3G, in 2006, not mms:
Bun Rany recently urged Hun Sen to prohibit the use of 3G phones, which offer features such as high-quality video. In a petition addressed to Hun Sen last week, Bun Rany argued that obscene images could increase the "sexual exploitation of women and children ... that would cast our society as a very dark one."

Yes, there is a reason I need text with MMS. Obviously I use the online chat options, but with some people texting is the only option. It isn't a major problem. I am just curious as to the reason and if my faint memory is correct or if I created a fake memory.

Well let's just shut down the entire internet in that case. .... Probably on the to do list already
