Hi,
We got a couple of desktop and laptop computers that we are not using anymore. None of them currently function as different parts (e.g. RAM, hard disk, laptop screen) are missing or broken but someone who likes to tinker around could probably use some of the parts to build another machine. Otherwise one could probably sell some of the stuff by weight I guess (e.g. the metal cases or some rarer metals used on the different parts)?
It wont hurt to get some money for the parts since that money would go into our education projects but I am fully aware that this is mainly electronic waste and I would give it away for free as well.
I do not really want to just throw this into the general waste container as this kind of waste should not just be burned or dumped somewhere.
Any ideas where to bring this?
Place that buys or takes old computer parts and laptops
Very little gets wasted in Cambodia. Having not found a place to send similar stuff (there was a guy asking for old electronics for art projects but I've long lost that info) just leave it in a tidy pile on the street side and it'll be taken care of.
