Phnom Penh – An American national, driving a white RX300 Lexus while intoxicated, crashed his vehicle into a lamp pole in front of the Booyoung Cambodian Bank ធនាគារប៊ូយ៉ុងខ្មែរ on Norodom Boulevard (at Street 222), in Chaktoumok Commune, Daunh Penh District. The incident occurred at 3:30 am, in the pre-dawn hours of the18th of January, 2013.
The driver escaped injury thanks to his air bag deploying, but the right front end of his SUV was badly damage when it struck the light pole with force significant enough to cause the pole to tilt askew. The driver of the SUV was not detained by police in spite of the fact that he was under the influence.
A local police official who witnessed the accident stated that he had seen the white compact Lexus ឡិចស៊ីសកូនកាត់ (not to be translated as a crossover Lexus) speeding along Norodom Boulevard towards Wat Phnom. When it had come up adjacent with the bank, the driver appeared to have nodded off, for the car veered over the sidewalk and hit an ornate light pole that had been recently installed by City Hall (for the King’s funeral procession), uprooting it and causing it to teeter over to one side.
With the car immobilized by the impact, a man the wrong side of 50 years of age emerged from the car, tottering about and reeking of alcohol ទប់ខ្លួនមិនហ្នឹងធុំក្លិនស្រាឱ្យហួង. He spoke English and handed over a piece of ID to the police by which the driver was identified as: ‘Stephen Rgriffiths ផ្ទះលេខ3EoB ផ្លូវលេខ២០៨ សង្កាត់បឹងរាំង ខណ្ឌដូនពេញ’ (House 3EoB, Street 208, Boeung Rayung Commune, Daun Penh District)

One must presume that the offender is in fact Khmer440's own Cambod, the evidence is overwhelming!
But, the overwhelming evidence would have to be that by 12:40pm on the 18th January, not one post from Cambod has been recorded!

This, however, does confuse the issue to his nationality and identity!porky pig wrote: He spoke English

Just released photos of the suspect, aka CAMBOD, being escorted by police on his way to detention

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Clearly it was an attempted suicide after KiR stopped commercial posts after January 1st.
I feel sorry for the guy, clearly his budget rents and low-commission sales are the cause of his gaunt look and cheap car. I hope he's learned that philanthropy doesn't pay.
Any fool can see it's not cambod, there's no tart in the picture.
