I know I'm unloveable. You don't have to tell me. I don't have much in my life, but take it - it's yours.

His passport expires next month. That could have made it difficult for him to have left the country. Most countries require you to have six months validity on your passport if you want a visa. This Charming Man wrote: his visa expired seven months ago.

JC lived in the same building as I do in SHV.
About 6 days ago I had helped him find a flight back home to Hawaii, he was due to fly out of BKK on 4 January, he had an appointment with the social security office in his home town.
About 4 days ago I saw him in the morning, not looking good, he had had a fall, He was feeling poorly for the next couple of days. He spent most of the time in his room lying in bed with the door open. His friends dropped by to chat with him and keep an eye on him.
Last night I got home about 12.30am and walked past his room, he was lying on the bed, I stopped and watched him to make sure he was breathing, which he was and then I went to my room.
This morning about 8.45am when I left he was still in the same position, he did not appear to be breathing. The landlord had called a doctor to check on him and they turned up, at which point I left. I found out 45 minutes later he had indeed passed away. Yes it was natural causes, he died peacefully in his sleep.
A really nice guy.
BTW, he told me he had recently got a new one year visa and passport.
You will note in the photo of the passport that the passport has two holes stamped in it... it was his old passport that had been renewed.

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
Bugger. RIP.
But we all have to go sometime, I would rather die in Cambodia than at home. At least one's death gets some attention with ridicule and contempt from the barang gallery.Hopefully I outlive the critics but it's not looking good.
Seriously though I really enjoyed this trip, my girls were beautiful and the old mates ugly but great company.
