I await Gin & Tonic's theory that maybe the evil girlfriend cut off her own head in order to frame the poor guy.

Chopping your birds head off and setting it on fire. Bit harsh! Just take some deep breaths and walk away, tomorrow's another day and all that!

Never mind.
Probably.... the article is pretty vague about the 2nd person. They just write that police caught him already.RainMan wrote:Where does the second guy fit into this, just helping out?

The perp is (was) a security supervisor at a big International 5-star hotel here in Temple Town. If he did this to his girlfriend, I'd hate to think what he would do to a guest trying to skip the hotel bill.....

Hun Sen and Bun Rany (and other dignitaries) are donating money to the family of the victim and paying for a coffin. http://kampucheathmey.com/kpt/?p=179757
Other little bits of information that I've picked up on a mix of sites are that the other suspect was the driver of the car.
It's suspected that the victim was strangled before her head was sliced off (thus explaining the lack of blood in the guesthouse), she was found without a shirt and that shirt has yet to be found (also hasn't been established if they had sex before she was killed or after)
The guesthouse owner didn't get either of the two to register upon booking/arriving at the guesthouse and there is no CCTV at the guesthouse.
Another oddity is the location of the head bonfire. I've read it happened in the middle of an open and exposed field somewhere (close to our far from? Wasn't made clear) behind Siem Reap airport.

Sure they have. Don't think it's philanthropic, more symbolic of their power and status.violet wrote:that's nice. have they done that type of thing before for murder victims' families?Rama wrote:HE and Bun Rany (and other dignitaries) are donating money to the family of the victim and paying for a coffin. http://kampucheathmey.com/kpt/?p=179757

Recently I've noticed that donating to those who have died in unusual circumstances is quite common by dignitaries. For example, late last month the head of Sihanoukville Gendarmerie paid for a coffin and funeral for a trash collector who hung himself in Sihanoukville http://www.dap-news.com/2011-06-14-02-3 ... 41-49.html not the first time he's paid for coffins either: http://www.grk.gov.kh/p/1939 & http://www.grk.gov.kh/p/1825
I doubt he donates much to the living.
