British expat Jonathan Briercliffe found dead in BKK1 apartment. *NSFW Graphic*
Pics are quire gruesome....Very graphic

Says he is English and they give the name Briercliffe. Maybe Jonathan Briercliffe - Managing Director of New Bridge Networks - Cambodia? (Linkedin says June 2015 - present)
A Jonathan Briercliffe and Ana Kitic Serbian National ( same from the girls passport photos) Seem to be connected via social media.
He wasn't answering phone calls from his father so his father called his daughter in-law (assuming the girl in the passport photos?) and she found him. Article says something along the lines that they were living in different suites but in the same building? He was living one floor up from her? They are still investigating.
Damn, RIP.

The article reports that he was just 39 and has been living here since 2010 (they also say it's been 16 years.... typo or ineptitude, go figure).
The wife (?) has a 2-year old daughter. It's unclear whether she's his daughter.
RIP.
Not a news one wants to receive on Christmas eve....

Briercliffe's Facebook feed is full of photos of a 2 year old girl, so my guess is that's his daughter.
Weird position to die in across the top of the sofa like that.

Obviously he has staggered mortally wounded from the side room (kitchen?) and landed on the couch. So what the hell happened in that side room?

I assumed he just collapsed from illness, drunkenness, or drugs on the couch and all the body fluids oozed out of him after death. Maybe the floor is uneven and the blood oozed out of him downhill and into the side room. This is definitely a case for Khmer440 peanut gallery CSI.kinard wrote:Obviously he has staggered mortally wounded from the side room (kitchen?) and landed on the couch.

I would surmise a cut throat, but again, mere conjecture.

I think the article would have said that. I don't know. There's a piece of paper next to the Serbian wife's passport in the photo. It contains the word "flu" and the phrase "He was a" and "last doc(tor?)"
Then it appears to say "Direrelix." That's not a word, Google suggests "Degarelix" which is a drug used for prostate cancer.

Direretix could also be 'diuretics'. That is possibly a 't'.

I thought the same thing about the Diuretics. Pretty common for someone to spell/say it incorrectly.kinard wrote:Direretix could also be 'diuretics'. That is possibly a 't'.
To me I think the blood/fluid streaks is maybe just the result of fluid running down the leg and following gravity. There are not really any major smudges, footprints and they don't really look like dragmarks. I think they look orderly as GM says as a lot of buildings in PP are built tilting some way or another and maybe just gravity too hold. One of them is just running down the grout line on the tile floor it looks like

I doubt they would have been taking written statements about his health condition and medications if he had been stabbed/slashed.

This kbn-live.com has got to be one of the most gory news sites going. Fuck me there are a lot of really messy death spots on there. Their motto must me "If it bleeds, it leads"
I was told by a trustworthy source who knew Jonathan from mutual friends a year or so ago that he was in a messy on-off relationship with the mother of his child, and that she also had her psycho moment, threatening him with a knife.
Apparently he was also in a bad place lately and had lost the plot.
Personally, I don't understand how she didn't notice his absence since she's living the floor below and I would expect the father of my child to check on her, at least once a day.
Also it looks like he bled out on the couch where he leaned over.

Another poor chap who died without his shirt on.

Why have the police provided her passport details unless they think she is a suspect?
Looking at her signature and the writing on the note - there is something vaguely similar.
The blood trail is interesting and the slumped over position. Almost as if he stumbled there after being stabbed.
Odd.
