Ok I will start from my meeting with a chief prosecutor at the municipal court.
I met the chief prosecutor at the municipal court.
I did the usual name dropping which prompted the official to postpone his interrogation and phone up my contacts..
In the afternoon I returned to the office , where I was ignored but at the same time told it was not a big problem. After conversations with a number of prisoners they always say it's not a big problem.
So after the interview at the municipal court , I thought I was being driven back to the police station to pay my fine and share a few drinks with the local plod.
It was Cambodian New year and the policeman were driving at breakneck speed back towards the direction of the police station. Then we turned right. I knew straight away this was the road to the infamous Prey Sar.
My contacts could not help because as far as the Cambodian police were concerned they were waiting for the British Embassy to send officials to pick up this wanted fugitive.
Ok this was it the education began.
