Two Chinamen died today, one in PP, and one in Svay Rieng:

PP: A Chinese man was found dead sleeping nude under a mosquito net.


This incident occurred at 1:30 pm on January 9, 2019, at the corner of the Stupa shop, Phnom Meas, Phnom Penh, Silver Construction, Metropolitan, etc., located in Borey Chim Mong, 181 and 183 Street 1015 in Bayap Village, Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmey, Khan Sen Sok.

The dead man was identified as YAN WEI QUAN, a 56-year-old Chinese male.

According to local police sources, before the incident, his friend called and broke through the door and found the body...

Svay Rieng: A Chinese casino worker dropped dead while gambling. The man suddenly collapsed from his chair, shocking the staff and security.

The unlucky death occurred on January 8, 2019, in Bavet Kandal, Bavet Town, Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province.

Two Korean volunteering students have mysteriously died:

DAEJEON, Jan. 10 (Yonhap) — Two South Korean college students have died of an unknown cause in Cambodia while doing volunteer work, officials said Thursday.

The Konyang University students had been treated at a hospital in the capital city of Phnom Penh since Tuesday, after they had acute stomach pains, according to the university officials.


They returned to the lodge the next day, only to start showing the same symptoms and be again transferred to the hospital. One of the two died Wednesday night and the other early Thursday.

Siem Reap:

A Chinese man died of a viral infection at 4:16 pm on January 10, 2019 at Royal Angkor International Hospital, Siem Reap town.

Police said that the victim, XU WENHE, male, born on November 11, 1959, was a tourist.

i can be wrong, but having checked 440 a few times over the last 8 years. Really had the impression that it was a bit of a tradition here, to have a thread like that.

It has been proven, although not that often, that relatives of victims that were left behind mourning, have found some answers they were looking for, etc...

Reporting deaths is fair IMO. Trawling through dead folks facebook accounts and posting up their holiday snaps and pics with smiling wife and kids from happier days is a bit, well, youknowwho.
