Unless you think about it (in a discussion) you’d not notice and it won’t effect your life.kinard wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 1:59 pmChina throws a lot of aid around the planet in the way of infrastructure, loans, the hospital ship etc... and no, you don't see them calling it in. The Chinese like to cultivate meaningful relationships in business and everything for the most part, runs smoothly, though they can be easily offended.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 12:42 pmIt’s not in China’s benefit to force countries to be in their debt for life. If the countries struggle to pay off loans then it hampers development.
That’s the whole point of the Belt and Road - increase trade, invest in infrastructure so those countries are developed to then, yes you guessed it, by more Chinese products that are shipped by that same route.
It’s not fucking rocket science.
I recall someone saying to me that the Chinese will take over the world (in the economic sense)and we agreed it was inevitable, given China's economic growth and our growing dependency on her.
It could be termed passive imperialism, but I don't have a problem with it.
You’ll still be able to get 50c beers and cheap hookers!
Like I’ve said. Lots of anti Chinese rhetoric being thrown around - like they give a flying fuck.
They are in control and will be for. Ever.
If it’s not them it’ll be the Germans, Japanese, India etc etc. Who cares.
