Have the predicted Chinese standard construction failures started?

Asian generally, especially where steel reinforced columns/floors are concerned.Bong Burgundy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 7:00 amHave the predicted Chinese standard construction failures started?

There are some huge cities in China (I hear. I have never been.). How many buildings collapse there? Is it really fair to blame it on the Chinese?

Ok. I'd be interested in how the stats compare to other countries.
Very sad and traumatic way to die. Hopefully it was quick for them.

I’m amazed with the amount of construction it took this long.
Building collapse even in modern western cities, even London - where it’s often some fuck up with restoration or unstable foundations.
I can see the anti Chinese jumping all over this one.
RIP to those who perished. Hope they get the people out quick.

Should the fault go to the site owner or the contractors?Bong Burgundy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 12:13 pmChinese woman site owner arrested.

Slightly off topic but I remember being told that if a building fails in China within, can't remember how many years but a lot, it's the bullet for the owner of the project.
Normally the site manager would be held initially. The term 'site owner' could mean they are actually the developer/main contractor.Miguelito wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 1:55 pmShould the fault go to the site owner or the contractors?Bong Burgundy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 12:13 pmChinese woman site owner arrested.
