I have had this bike for 2 years and it has served me very well. I know the previous two owners personally and they have hardly ever ridden it for the 4 or so years while in their possession. Although it continues to be a great ride for me I want something lighter and more powerful for the more technical stuff, and I do not need 5 different motorcycles in the stable. For someone looking for a bulletproof and clean dual sport bike, this is a good candidate.
For the past 6 years the bike has been immaculately maintained by The Bike Shop including a top end engine rebuild in April last year, and a new ring set, valve seals and timing chain this month. As well, all suspension components have been inspected and maintained as necessary to keep it in excellent mechanical condition. I have kept all receipts. The bike has an after market exhaust and larger tank which provide impressive power for the 'L' model and a range of about 220 km. I have trimmed most of the parts that I have found annoying for off road riding such as the mirrors, rear signal indicators, and in my opinion, the excessively large rear tail light assembly (which has been replaced by array of very bright LED's embedded in the rear fender... safety first). All the parts I have removed will be provided of course if the new owner wishes to return it to a more original state. The tires are currently knobbys, about 80% front and 50% rear, and I can provide a set of intermediate tires if desired. The only defect I am aware of is the speedometer but since I normally ride with a GPS this has not been an issue. Taxes have been paid and the bike has a valid registration and plate.
I am asking $3800 which I believe is a fair price and will entertain offers provided they are are not ludicrous as I have no pressing need to get rid of it. Interested parties can PM me or contact Lee at 012 393 281.

They must sabotage them all so the bikes won't depreciate in value, ever.Khmerized wrote:Nice. What is it with speedos in Cambodia though?
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

It's that fine red dust. Get's fucking everywhere and when it combines with moisture is quite bad for moving parts (wheel bearings, shock seals, tyre valve inners and speedo gears.
Plus, it's nicer to not know your own speed at times.

Ya, it worked when I first got it. Ran about a year, then quit (at 19K plus change). It's the speedo too, not the cable. I was assured it could be disassembled and fixed but I never got around to it. And also ya, the front fender's been 'clipped'. I saw a pic of one on thumpertalk and thought it looked slick.
Ya, well.... beauty, eye, beholder and all that. Besides I think your daughter liked it better this way the last time she sat on it... or was that the Fireblade?
that was the blade. shes still asking why that big nasty man rode off with her beloved blade.
Hi Leecifer,
Mildly interested mate, it's not the ideal but it's obviously a good price so I'll keep looking or ew more weeks and if I come up with nothing I'll be in touch. Can I ask are you in PP, SNK or SR?

It might have been sold in the meantime since you're about five and a half years late.
