Mate, I came to Cambodia with $25 in my pocket, I'm doing ok so far, but I don't have that sort of money yet. I'd have to say though after looking at your photos, and reading some customer testimonials on tripadvisor that I'm pretty impressed by what you have created there. Your ribs reputation is advertising in itself. I hope that whoever takes it over from you treats your baby well.

As a chef who has a love for little hole in the wall type restaurants I love what you have done and wish you all the best.

Nah, I've calmed down a bit since my post. ;)

Seriously though, although I was being over the top for a laugh, your business is the sort of thing I show my Khmer wife when looking at ideas for future businesses. Do you get Khmer customers? I would think that slow smoked or bbqued short ribs would be the sort of thing that locals would enjoy as well.

we have about 5% locals in the place, but have a lot of takeaways with them,as they are often nervous to come in a busy restaurant. they tell me that they dont want to come in because they dont know how to act when in a foreign owned restaurant!

Best of luck to you in your future endeavors. The sauce you put on your ribs and the way you glaze them is incredible. Maybe you could go into the rib consulting business.

Seems like a wise but difficult decision. In the meantime: are you still open? Coming to Kampot this weekend. (not only for the ribs, but they are s a main attraction...)

I just got back to Phnom Penh from Kampot and stopped in for some ribs. My friend and I split the smallest size and were both quite full. They were delicious. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you've got a great place.
