With the new year coming and us heading home soon i know im going to forget to update so heres the info i can scrounge. For the life of me i cant find the invoice but I want to say it was $370 not 270 but dont quote me on that. I was considerably more than the chinese copy mowers we saw. Bought a lot of shit this trip including two bikes a lot of other tools etc. I dont know which model it is meaning this year or last year etc but its the small 2 kw model (2.5? hp dont know horsepower) with small wheels.
Mower looks like this still packed away but it runs really nice and quiet as well as the blade. Its well balanced but probably underpowered at its size. I only have a 1/2 hectare to do and dont want to bother with a riding mower so this will be fine I hope.
Build quality is kind of like a cambodian made honda scooter vs chinese made one. Overall build quality definitely has a budget feel to it but it doesnt feel like its ready to break in two or that it was slapped together in 30 seconds. Body is decently thick only thing i wish it had were bigger wheels and that they were driven. Maybe they had some that are i dont know i didnt look that much as we were feeling a bit sick when shopping.
I did landscaping as a teenager back home and used honda commercial stuff and some consumer grade gc powered stuff and while id prefer that over this briggs powered version i cant complain with the price. Probably 1200aud for the mower i used to use so for this thing at sub 300 im more than happy so long as i dont have to bother with chinese nonsense. Whipper snippers i dont care as theyre easy to service and tear apart (already stripped one in our hotel room to fix an oil leak) but mowers are a bit bigger and going to do more so i wanted a name brand mower.
Hope that helps.

Here it is in action
Always wondered if you can swap the wheels for heavier duty?
Let me know how it goes.
Many thanks

Dont know about the wheels but i forgot to add that we bought our mower at the toul tom poung location called tns 2. It was on mao tse tong road.
Could not find the ryobi shop on MTT and I've been there before. Either it's moved or I'm blind. Grateful if someone can give exact location. Went to central market and found WORLD brand Chinese self propelled HUGE mower. Biggest I've ever seen. Must have been 24" so great for large blocks. Says it has a briggs and stratton motor but who'd know. Seemed reasonably well built but Jesus it was heavy. You'd struggle to lift it into a ute by yourself.
$430 before haggling. I'd probably be tempted at 350.
There are alot of YouTube videos covering WORLD brand mowers and homedepot in the US sells some larger models with excellent reviews. Would the Chinese copy Chinese????
Think I'd still rather source a Honda or ryobi.
