LJ bought mine last month when it was advertised , sight unseen just contacted me made an offer which I accepted. Got more calls but I considered a deal was done and he owned it.gavinmac wrote:This is very fair, if that's what happened. LJ and Logos seem to think that if they publicly post, "consider it sold" or "I'm your plan B" that this somehow binds the seller. It doesn't.An Invented Name wrote: hang on you said you could pay for it in four days later from when I first pm,d....someone slapped the cash on the table....What do we want Jam Today or Jam Tomorrow...if you could have got the cash together on the same day it would have been yours....

umm no,
there was a PM exchange.
He offered it to me for a consideration.
I replied, I accept that and will get the money to you within 4 days.
offer, acceptance, consideration.... not sure what you know about contract law.
I knew he would be likely to sell the TV before he posted it. I had sent him a pm days earlier saying if he was to sell the TV I was interested and he sent me the offer which was accepted.
As for the 4 days, in an earlier exchange he had said that he did not need the cash until a certain date that was outside the 4 days I mentioned. He never replied that he needed me to settle that day, which I could have organised but with inconvenience.
Doesn't matter it is all said and done, good luck to the guy, I hope he recovers financially and does not leave things go until they get to desperation point next time.
I am still in the market for large TV's by the way, also Tuk Tuks (all in one type) and a decent van, pizza oven, and commercial kitchen equipment.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

Did he end up getting more than $1000? that's the mystery here.
