Depends which generation of Australian male. My grandfathers generation seemed to judge good barbecuing by how carbonised they could get the snags.

It does leave a bit to the imagination. Yet, over the years, as a Yank who likes to cook on the grill quite a bit, I've heard nothing but good reviews and comments about Weber grills. Don't know about yours, looks a bit girly.ricecakes wrote:Rest of what ?

Is that "THE" brand in Australia. Do Aussies ever import anything American like Coleman grills? Curious.

DM, I was a lurker here for 10 years, like vervet appendages, love your work!
Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame.

No, the man is quite correct. The period September through to Australia day is the best time to be an Aussie.DetroitMuscle wrote:Gin&Tonic wrote:In Australia, a man is defined by how well he can utilize his Weber

Despite being a German American import, Webers are a integral part of the last quarter of the year in Aus.
Although, a real man should have his weber slow cooking roasts over coals, not gas. That's the real test. He literally has to provide for his family or his mates on Grand Final day, or Melbourne Cup or Christmas.
Good to see you back DM, btw.

Funny...that's how I'd describe someone who calls bbqing "grilling".DetroitMuscle wrote:a bit girly.

Just the thing everyone needs in case of a car accident.... a fucking full propane tank ready to explode.
How can you call a grill "ULTRA-portable" when you actually need to lug around a propane tank?

He could probably carry the tank on his own personal flatbed, which is just below his mouth.Gin&Tonic wrote:Some of us have developed the strength to carry light objects.DetroitMuscle wrote: you actually need to lug around a propane tank?
