I need a smartphone, but I'm not totally clued up on them. The last phone (smartphone) i had was some bare basic samsung, but some fuck-knuckle robbed it from me. I guess i'm looking for something similar (not the getting robbed part). I mainly use it as a phone and an mp3 player but occasionally use the internet to take selfies of myself whilst eating rice and drinking tea to upload to bookface. The samsung i had before was a bit sluggish at the internet, so i'm guessing i need something that doesn't dawdle too much whilst i'm trying to see how many 'likes' my latest photo of a bowl of soup has received.
I don't want to spend $100's but I'm willing to go to around $150+ for something that has a decent amount of memory on it, so i can stick a fuckton of music on it. I don't need anything mega special or the latest S6 as i really don't use a smartphone hardcore for apps, tinder, twitter, and all that lovely, lovely man stuff, and i also don't want an iphone. They can fuck off and die. Where's the best place to go and get a half decent smartphone without getting my pants pulled down over the price or even better if any of you guys have something cute and special you'd like to sell me for a few riel or 'special' cookies then i'd be up for that, too.

I bought an LG Magna android in manila for $190
Hands down the Best phone I've ever had.
Dual SIM
5 inch screen
Fast, responsive ,easy to use.
LG not so popular in Cambodia but I noticed mobihell was selling them at 50% off last month.
I can't get my head around spending $750 for a phone when they lose 50% value the first year.

You can get a much better LG than a Magna in Phnom Penh for $150. Cambodia gets all the Korean secondhand phones. All of them get dumped here.
Currently prices on LG phones are as follows:
$100 - LG Optimus G
$110 - LG Optimus G Pro
$120-$150 - LG G2
$180 - $220 - LG G Pro 2
$200 - $220 - LG G3
Look at the ads on the Khmer24 classifieds site, you will see lots of phone shops selling LG's at these prices or close to them. Or if you want, give me a call some day when you feel like going and getting a phone and I'll help you sort it out. Basically, with Korean phones, you want to be able to ROOT the phone so that you can uninstall all of the bullshit Korean only apps and bloatware they put on there. But I can root any LG phone, I have all of the software that their official technicians and engineers use that they don't really want the public to have but it always gets leaked anyways.
For your price range: I would recommend a G2. If you want to save some money, get a LG Optimus G Pro for about $110 or $120 tops, that's what I'm using right now. All of the LG's I just listed are their flagship type phones, the ones that people in the west get charged $500 or $800 dollars for if they buy them off contract.
Where to buy one? Angkor Thom Phone Shop on Kampuchea Krom, near the Le Presidente Hotel (or whatever it's called) usually has prices like I just listed. The Klang Romsev market on Mao is just stall after stall selling phones and they have the cheapest and best repair technicians at that market in town. Nika Phone Shops (on 310 and on Sihanouk) have their prices clearly marked on everything so there's no bullshit barang price haggling at least.

How much art can you take?
Missus just gave me a Samsung J7 Duos for my birthday.
It's a nice big 5.5 and very smooth with an awesome camera.
Still love my LG. That rea r rocker is such a great feature.price I quoted was for a brand new phone..not a second hand Korean one.
