^ historically true, with the exception of The Great German Power War, which out Yanked the Yanks for about 10 years there.
As I said, examples being the V10 M5 and the logic defying, 6-litre twin turbo V12 S600 with 1000Nm!
It's a bit like the gun debate - I don't think colonial petrol heads and Europeans will ever see eye to eye on what constitutes a desirable car because our driving experiences are so different. We (Aussies and Yanks) were always GT markets, not full of narrow streets and mountain passes. Those taut European chassis and low profile tyres are nice to bomb from Munich to Stuttgart, but aren't much fun on rural B-roads.

Eh?
They are for B roads! The big Mercs and BMW are for motorways/freeways that's why they are called "bahn stormers", as in autobahn.
The small and mid sized hot cars imprezza, Subaru, Nissan, Mazda etc are built for b roads, and the occasional dirt road!
However. I agree. Yanks/Oz need different cars to the rest of us.
I drove a HSV Maloo in oz for a few months and whilst it was a hoot it was a bit unwieldy in the countryside where there were bends!
I also had a V8 thing in the US but I crashed it, damn oversteer! (Straight road)

No offense (well a little) but it sounds like you don't know how to drive very well. You talk about Oversteer whilst going down a "(straight road)" ... What?YaTingPom wrote:Eh?

I therefor dismiss any further words or opinions you express on the subject of: Automobiles.
Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.

Let me rephrase as 'second tier roads'. My uncle's RS4 was one of the most desirable things in the world at the time, basically gave me a permanent hard-on around the city, but when bombing around country NSW the damn thing nearly broke your spine.YaTingPom wrote:Eh?

The Maloo is wonderfully daft - there is a motorsport series featuring domestic utes in Australia. As you well know, because there is no damn weight in the back and so much in the front, they can be as twitchy as a riverside methhead. Makes for some terrific watching.
Haha - my money’s on Playboy
Yeah I've watched those nut jobs but prefer the V8 saloon racing. (Great race in Perth. Great pit strategy.)
I've had lots of cars and done lots of track days in all of them (apart from the V8 Range Rover).
I was also pretty good in go cart racing as a teen thanks DM. I know how to drive any car including gutless yank tanks with chassis' made of old socks.
I'll not have a yank preach to me about cars thanks.
Guns yes. Cars, motorbikes, big construction machinery, lawn mowers, chainsaws, no!

Well, perhaps, but I've never crashed on a straight road due to oversteer(lol).... Like you admitted to doing above.YaTingPom wrote:YaTingPom 1
