How has the sale been going? I know it sold to an Aussie guy. Has he taken over yet?
Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.
I often wonder the same, usually nicely warmed up by 3, and ready to head home by 7/8ish which is when most people seem to come out of the woodworks and start. Good thing I'm an unsociable prick.GMJS-440 wrote: I left wondering why other people don't seem to drink much during the 3-6pm hour range.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Rated R for Ricecakes
Kiwi and ricecock seem like my kind of people, not only due to their preference for afternoon intoxication and all day piss-taking but also after ricey sold me the most fairly priced washing machine in all of Cambodia.
Alas, I am content to maintain my anti-social behaviour in my final months in Cambodia. I am sad to leave but I need to.

Hello all,
The Lone Star Saloon has been sold. I have been hesitant to post...because the buyer has had some snags getting his money transferred...and I did not want to put anything out in public until I had cash in hand. They buyer has paid a deposit and we should finalize the deal in a couple of days.
Unfortunately, I am flying out tomorrow for a work stint in the U.S.......so there will not be a big closing/going away bash.
The good news is that the new owner intends to keep Lone Star as is....and retain as much staff as possible. Myself and my family will give him all the help we can to help him succeed.
The new owner is named Ronnie O'Grady. He is an Aussie who has run casinos on cruise ships and at various places around the world all of his adult life. He is a sports junkie....and an expert on American Football...as well as the Aussie sports. I think he will do well.
Thanks so much to all of our patrons and guests over the years. It has always been a labor of love, and we have been very blessed to have a good run at doing something that is so much damn fun.
My family and I are ready to become full time residents of Takmau........but the Lone Star will always be my bar of choice when I come into town.
Hope to see you there some time down the road.
Greg

For sale again already. Asking price only 4k more than a year ago, you could be ready to take over just in time for the off-season. Roll up, roll up.
Just saw it advertised on FB again, now for 69K + 3 months rent in advance.
None but ourselves can free our mind.
