I don't run a hospitality/f&b type business and nor ever would I. However, if I did run a bar/food joint I wouldn't offer free wi-fi. If customers buying food and drink want to spend their time on their devices they would be at liberty to do so, on their data plans. They sure as shit aren't downloading films and such on my bandwidth whilst nursing a bottle of Kulen for hours on end.bigphatt wrote:It's got me beat why they offer free wi-fi..bipolar bear wrote:I dunno what it is about that picture but when I see one like it I don't see $1000 per month profits, I see a bunch of people who have said, "What's your wi-fi password? Oh, I have to order something as well? Gimme a bottle of water. No, not that big one for a dollar, a small one."
And four hours later they are still sitting there.
desperado!!!
I'd be in the selling food and drink business not in the free ISP business. Regulars who are spenders could expect loyalty bonus access but random, tight-arse, rope-haired backpackers? Nah. I wouldn't even want those fuckers in my place at all.
Then again, maybe I'd never get any customers.
