Another satisfied customer....My rooftop and balcony garden is focusing on growing dill. Only this dill is used in my dill pickles....none is bought in the market. I presently have about 20 dill buckets in the fridge and am targetting 50 buckets per month at this stage.
As for the jalopenos...they are from Thailand and I don't know where to source any here yet. A friend of mine, Tom, just arrived from Australia and is growing them on his farm. They should be ready in a few months so I foresee pickling more jalopenos at that time.
Thanks for your business Ricky and I am glad you like both the dills and jalopenos.

Patcan - do you have any pickles ready? I replied (late) on FB but now I notice we're no longer connected there? Did you unfriend me because I didn't reply fast enough? What's the deal? It's rough when the pickle man gives you a cold shoulder.

Sorry but yes....Waited weeks for replies twice so unfriended you.
I tend to fo that to people (Buck included) who can't take 30 seconds out of their valuable time to answer a message. Sorry if you are offended. if you still want pickles send me a PM and we shall make arrangements. Thanks.

How is it possible that you've waited weeks for me to reply more than once when I added you (to ease my pickle buying experience) to Facebook less than two weeks before my last message a few days ago?

Further, the last time that I seen you when we were sitting outside on 110 you said that you would keep two buckets aside for me when they were done and I never heard from you.

I am notgoing to argue with you on Khmer 440. I'll take your message as a 'no order'. Have a good weekend.

What do you expect when you publicly post something that I believe is false. You should redact that you've waited for me more than once for "weeks" to reply when that's just not the case.

As far as I'm concerned you had a solid order for me the last time I seen you for two buckets and you never contacted me.

I then added you to messenger.

To be clear in your last messages you said that you had some pickles that were pickled on December 8th that should be ready soon (early Jan) in your next message two days later they were gone but you had pickles that were pickled on the 25th of December which I figured were going to take near the end of the month and that's why I contacted you later. I don't feel like checking on the weekly progress of pickles.

Also FYI for anybody with pickles. There's a nice aged extra mature Scottish cheddar for sale at Lucky Premier that would match well with them.

I think it was closer to a month the 1st time...You said you were busy or sick or both...
I then stated that the jalopeno buyers wanted pickles too And that since you hadn't contacted me I sold your pickles...
Then I stated i would hold 2 for you dated 25th of Dec good to be eaten 25 Jan. I also stated that it would be better to act quickly this time ...Implying that if you didnot reply quickly I might
Sell these pickles which was the case...You put me in areal pickle...Sorry but if a guy orders and they are there I will sell them...Told you to biy them early to avoid what happened ned the first time... Not very professional on my part...Sorry about that.

Yes it was closer to a month the first order but it's because you didn't tell me they were done. I ordered two buckets here on November 28th, which is on the previous page. I never heard from you when they were done... but when I ran into you at Larry's in Dec we had a little bit of a laugh that you sold them, it wasn't that I was sick that I didn't pick them up it was that you didn't tell me they were done so I didn't know. And on that night you promised me you would keep two more buckets for me and I hadn't heard anything from you again on if they were done or not. I ordered them twice, why don't you just shoot me a message and say "they're done, pick them up". Yes you did tell me to pick them up early but if you don't tell me they are done how can I do that?

The point I was trying to make is that I tried to order them once on the previous page here in Nov and another time verbally after that in Dec and I've had no communication from you as to when they are ready to be picked up. Fair enough if you send me a message and tell me that you have two buckets sitting there waiting for me and if I don't pick them up then go ahead and sell them but you didn't do that.

Of course you haven't heard from me over certain periods of time. You took an order twice from me. You didn't tell me when they were done and then blamed me that I didn't pick them up in a timely fashion... Do you see the disconnect here?

I thought you knew they were done.....My dill is harvested weekly so I pickle 4 to 6 buckets and sometimes 7 or 8 every week....Stated that my monthly output target was 50 buckets so hell yes, have pickles in the fridge allllllll the time. Have 19 as I type...pickling 4 more on Monday...I thought it was up to you send me a message 'If you have, I would like 2 buckets for tomorrow night at Larry's' for example....

I will check the dates on the tubs and give you ones that were pickled close to a month. Will PM you the details and sorry for the misunderstanding.

kansaicanuck picked up his 2 tubs of pickles today, tubs being dated 25th and 30th Dec., 2018. Mistakes were made along the way but it is a learning process. Handshakes were exchanged and I look forward to kansaicunuck's opinion on the 25th Dec. batch.

The pickles are fantastic as usual. I opened the batch from the 25th. They were still slightly whitish in the centre so they might need a bit longer in the tub but fantastic overall as usual. (I believe it's simply because the pickles are a bit larger in this batch) Patcan has added even more copious amounts of his homegrown dill and has apparently sourced some fantastic garlic. Thanks again Patcan and hopefully no hard feelings over #picklegate
